These terms govern your use of Platillo (“the service”) operated from Costa Rica. By creating an account you accept this agreement; if you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.
What you can do
- Create a tenant for a restaurant you own or operate.
- Publish menu content, run a QR code, and connect a custom domain on paid tiers.
- Invite team members on the Agency tier to help manage your menus.
What you can’t do
- Upload content that infringes another party’s rights, is illegal in your jurisdiction, or violates platform policies (e.g. fraudulent listings, malware, hate speech).
- Resell access to Platillo’s software (the Agency tier authorizes hosting menus for clients you operate; not white-label SaaS resale).
- Scrape or systematically copy other tenants’ menus.
- Use the service to send unsolicited bulk messages.
Plans and billing
- Free plans stay free for the active features described on the pricing page; we may change feature limits with notice.
- Paid plans bill annually in Costa Rican colones (CRC) via Stripe.
- If a payment fails, your tenant enters a grace period (7 days). After that, paid features (custom domain, analytics, specials) deactivate and the menu falls back to the Free tier’s capabilities.
- You can cancel anytime in the dashboard. The current term plays out; we don’t prorate refunds unless required by law.
Your content
You own the menu content you upload. You grant Platillo a limited license to host, display, and process it for the purpose of running the service for you. We don’t claim ownership and we don’t use your content to train AI models.
Availability
We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee an SLA on the Free or Pro tiers. Agency-tier customers can request a uptime commitment in writing as the customer base grows.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or applicable law. We’ll usually email a warning first unless the violation is urgent (security, illegal content, or active abuse).
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Platillo is provided “as is”. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any given dispute won’t exceed what you paid us in the 12 months prior to the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced via email and on the marketing site at least 14 days before they take effect.
